Scope of the Position:
Supervise tooling staff and activities.
Manage department resources to meet product quality standards and KPI's set by management.
Responsibilities:
Organize priorities and assign jobs in the tooling area Follows the maintenance plan and tool improvement plan Trains toolmakers and assists with any new projects, drawing checks, etc.
Lead and maintain 5S Updates manager on job status, new projects, critical issues, etc.
Ensures compliance with tooling planning Coordinates with production planning and implements engineering changes Maintains work orders and department inventory Works with outside vendors
Qualifications:
Journeyman level Tool & Die Basic computer skills Experience with transfer presses Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
