Responsibilities:
- Hang sheetrock and drywall on walls and ceilings according to blueprints and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and fit sheetrock panels to the appropriate size.
- Install metal stud framing and track systems for supporting sheetrock.
- Apply caulk, tape, and mud to seams and joints for a smooth finish.
- Repair or replace damaged sheetrock panels as needed.
- Install fixtures, such as electrical outlets and light switches, into sheetrock walls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure accurate installation.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sheetrock Hanger or similar role.
- Proficient in frame carpentry techniques for installing metal stud framing.
- Knowledge of drywall installation techniques, including taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading to understand project specifications.
- Experience in fixture installation, such as electrical outlets and light switches.
- Understanding of masonry work for repairing or replacing damaged sheetrock panels.
- Knowledge of stucco application and mold remediation is a plus.
