Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Receiving and Inventory Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handling and inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and through inspection verify contents against packing lists and purchase orders - Organize large material deliveries and coordinate with shop employees for efficient material flow - Inspect received goods for damages, defects, accuracy, and report discrepancies to your team lead - Maintain organized and clean shipping and receiving areas, adhering to safety standards and protocols - Assist with inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and proper stock levels - Collaborate with team members to resolve any shipping or receiving issues in a timely manner - Follow company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and inventory management -Manage internal flow of materials to support production in an efficient manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred - Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills - Ability to lift and move heavy objects (non-negotiable), and operate material handling equipment (e.
g.
, forklifts, pallet jacks) - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
