Manager of Specialty Chemical Laboratory Services needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bessemer,
alabama
(client will relocate out of state candidates)
What You'll Be Doing:
Manager of Specialty Chemical Laboratory Services will manage and direct staff of 4 chemists on a day-to-day basis with a primary emphasis on laboratory testing, development of new products and reformulation of existing products.
Oversees all laboratory operations
Manages the personnel, interprets measured data, will have occasion to directly interface with external customers, determines the needs of these clients while assessing the application of laboratory data to these needs
Plans and directs all aspects of the Laboratory organization's activities across.
Communicates data and results to all employees within the company in a clear and concise manner. Coordinate multiple labs into a efficient work flow
Prepares technical reports for internal/external communicative needs. Prepares operational summaries for presentation to the senior management group within the company.
Manager of Specialty Chemical Laboratory Services Interfaces regularly with the internal sales team of the company. Accepts all calls from these individuals, returns all calls from these individuals, and makes their needs (a reflection of our customer's needs) a number one priority
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in chemistry with a minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a laboratory as a Chemist or Chemical Engineer
Field services and customer focused setting
This individual must be a strong communicator replete with hands on management skills.
The candidate must also demonstrate an ability to interpret scientific data, perform mathematical and scientific computations, maintain laboratory records, maintain laboratory esthetics and be extremely comfortable in a laboratory environment.
Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred
Qualifications:
An oilfield background is preferable, ideally with a service company or chemistry supply company
Experience outside of the oil and gas industry will be considered provided that the previous work experiences are transferable
