Materials/Shipping Coordinator-Automotive Parts Plant
Starting salary range: $46-53,000. Plus OT Competitive Benefits and Some Relocation Support
Reporting to the Shift Shipping and Receiving Supervisor the selected applicant will be responsible for the following
Essential Functions:
Performs a variety of coordinating, routing, and material handling duties to meet production schedules with close supervision and clear guidance.
Prepare systems generated Packing Slip/Bills of lading by entering pick list.
Manages accurate Shipping Log records.
Generates accurate ASNs to Customer.
Maintains hard copy record of all shipping documents.
Obtains daily releases from customer systems as specified.
Creates Pick List for Material Handling to pull product.
Contacts carriers for pick up of loads.
Receives inbound calls from, carriers, customers, etc., for general shipment information.
Job
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel and email. Knowledge of Plant location ability to give traffic directions.
Knowledge or ability to learn of customers on-line communication systems.
Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Ability to process time sensitive information and orders and meet deadlines.
Ability to accurately communicate to co-workers and management.
Ability to complete all necessary tasks before end of shift.
Accurate Document Control.
Previous experience in shipping or receiving.
Minimum high school education or equivalent; University degree and 1 year minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience with basic safety processes and how to work safely around automated equipment.
Experience and understanding of automotive quality requirements for interior products would be very helpful.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to troubleshoot product quality/process issues, interpret data and problem solve.
Basic computer skills with general understanding of software programs (Windows, Micro Soft Word, Micro Soft Excel, etc.).
Six Sigma Green Belt Training and or Kepner Trego Training a plus
Candidates must be US Citizens. No VISA support is available for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
